  • SHOULD I QUIT?

Hi I love fashion and one day I’d like to create my own clothing line. Right now I’m an assistant in a clothing store. You think there is any chance for me to become a store manager? This is hard because the feeling between my co-workers isn’t especially nice. I mean , there is a lot of competition and I don’t know if I need to keep working hard and keep trying to like them. I know this world is hard but I want to achieve my goal. I’m studying fashion design.
Is there anyone who is working in the industry? If so what is your advice? Should I stay here working as a shop assistant or should I quit and focus on my studies?

    • Hello , you seem a really sweet girl. Okey so , I’ve been working In the industry for about 2 years as a designer for inditex. This world is tough I’m not going to lie to you. I don’t recommend you to stay there, first of all because that is killing you psychologically and second of all because you want to be on the other side of the “brand”. I don’t know if it’s making any sense but, there are lots of internships available for people like you who want to be designers or product managers and stuff in the fashion industry. So if I were you I’d start looking for a cool internship where you can at least learn how you want to run a company. You may not learn how you want to do thing but you can learn how you don’t want to do things. When you are an intern you see the worst of the company and the jobs around you and I think that will be helpful for you in a future. I feel I’m going off tangent so , feel free to ask any questions :) I’ll be happy to help.
