County Mayo
County Mayo is an administrative county in the Republic of Ireland, and one of the thirty-two traditional counties of the island of Ireland, located in the province of Connacht. The county was named after the village of Mayo, which is now generally known as Mayo Abbey. The county has a population of 123,839. The county's main towns are Castlebar and Ballina, respectively located in the centre and in the northeast of the county.
